Parks & Driving Time
A good route balances wildlife areas with realistic road time so the trip does not feel like a race between parks.
Safari Blue is a Full-Day Tour. You will be picked up at your hotel around 8 am in the morning and be transferred to Fumba village south-west of Zanzibar Town. You will board a traditional Dhow (sailing boat) and make your way to a paradisiac sandbank in the middle of the ocean. You can either use the time there to relax, sunbath and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or you may stay on the boat and enjoy some snorkeling close to the sandbank. Afterwards you will stop at another well-chosen snorkeling spot to gaze at the abundant and diverse marine life through translucent waters before you will head to Kwale Island to have lunch. Explore the island, climb an ancient baobab tree, walk along the beach, view coral formations and discover hermit crabs scurrying around. The last destination on your adventure will be a ravishingly beautiful natural lagoon which is perfect to have a last dip in the crystal clear water before you head back to Fumba village and get transferred back to you hotel.
Tanzania safari planning is more than selecting a number of days. Park combinations, driving time, season, accommodation style and the balance between game drives and rest all matter. Use the itinerary above as a starting point, then discuss your dates and priorities with the Peaceful Expeditions team.

Camping, lodge, tented-camp and luxury options can change the character and cost of a safari. Final properties depend on availability.
Wildlife is present year-round, but migration movements, calving, rainfall and road conditions vary. Specific sightings cannot be guaranteed.
